VIDEOS. From the Granada Community Services District (GCSD) board meetings on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at 7:00pm, as a hybrid meeting with remote comment. Coastside Allies is led by El Granadian, Kevin Sniecinski.

El Granada Festive will include multiple days and nights of events for the entire family or anyone wanting to participate. A kick off will include a tree lighting on Friday, December 19th, 2025. Stay tuned!!

Coastside Allies Co-Founders Kevin Sniecinski and Steve Wahl have dedicated over 30 years to transforming fear into purposeful action, both in their professional careers and personal lives.  Moving away from careers that allowed them to explore community barriers to structural, multi-generational changes and the funding to address those changes, they now work in a community-driven space. Rather than simply attending community meetings or councils where progress is often slow, they began actively researching various issues, pinpointing their root causes, and bringing together local volunteers to directly address these challenges.

The guiding principle at the heart of their work is “by the community, for the community.” Kevin Sniecinski frequently presents at different events and engages with elected officials and department leaders, and leadership within our local community-based organizations, both in the county and beyond. Establishing partnerships that transform lives, strengthen communities, and foster positive mindsets. From coat drives to policy change, they are busy at work!

Coastside Allies has a new group page. Everyone interested is welcome to join.

Coastside Allies emerged as a way to take advocacy and structural intervention to an organic, non-regimented, and always emerging platform.

The group started with a team of 7, and now is run by 27 co-founders and over 125 community volunteers.

Tackling gaps in service provision for local, county-wide CBOs and grass-root efforts, to working on policy change with elected officials, department leaders, and community boards, councils, and organizations. We work intentionally in spaces that honor the basic principles of equal human rights.

We believe that you are your politics. As such, we pay careful attention to opposing efforts that work to isolate and/or discriminate.

More simply, you are a perfect match if you truly believe EQUAL RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS. Our group includes a diverse skill set amongst its members, with many industry leaders in our collective backgrounds. We embrace science, prevention, and cutting-edge interventions as part of our policy work and core values.

In our first year, we raised over $80k for community-based efforts to combat hunger, provided linkage to care access to over 750 families.

We organized 9 separate events, such as coat drives, back-to-school needs, holiday food drives, and more. All members can propose an effort or campaign for us to support.

We are all leaders, neighbors, and concerned citizens who want to get things done! Welcome!

“By the Community, for the Community”.
