Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

PRESENTATION. From the Army Corp of Engineers and San Mateo County Harbor District on February 25th, 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

  • CAP 111 = Continuing Authorities Program
  • January 2017. Continuing Authorities Program 111 Detailed Project Report and Draft Environmental Assessment
  • October 2015. DRAFT Environmental Assessment for N. Half Moon Bay (Princeton) Pillar Point Harbor CAP 111 Feasibility Study

Project Location and Description
The Princeton shoreline appears to have been altered by the presence of the Federal breakwaters constructed in the mid-20th century which disrupted longshore transport; the current shoreline has both eroded and accreted portions with the eroded section threatening homes and utilities and accreted section impacting navigation in the harbor for search and rescue operations and commercial fishing. The study would examine shoreline solutions consistent with the Section 111 authority.

Issues and Other Information

  • Non-Federal Sponsor changed from OneShoreline to the San Mateo County Harbor District.
  • The Harbor is designated a Harbor of Safe Refuge and has its own Search and Rescue Team, due to the distance between it and the nearest Coast Guard Sector in San Francisco.

Congressional Interest: 16th District, Rep. Anna Eshoo
