Requesting a letter of support from the PMAC for Puente’s Community Project Funding application to be submitted to Sam Liccardo, US Representative for the 16th District of California. The funding would support a mobile dental clinic housed in an RV, to be stationed at the North Street high school property and serve the community’s most vulnerable residents.
Highlights include:
- Puente is partnering with Sonrisas Dental Heath to build this mobile dental service solution.
- 400 current users of this program with a projected increase of 5x with this new Dental RV solution.
- Puente is seeking roughly $500k funding to start, but will require additional long-term funding to continue to provide this service.
- Timeline = sometime in 2026 if funding is secured.
