KHMB Radio Announces Epic 48-Hour Patriotic Marathon "4th of July 250" to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday

HALF MOON BAY, CA – Community radio for the Coastside is gearing up for the biggest birthday party in American history. To celebrate the nation’s Semiquincentennial, KHMB ((100.9 FM and AM 1710) has announced a massive, 48-hour holiday marathon broadcast titled the “4th of July 250”.

Beginning Friday, July 3rd at 6:00 PM and running continuously through Sunday, July 5th at 6:00 PM, the special broadcast will feature 250 unique patriotic tracks, heartland anthems, and roots-of-America songs spanning from the 1940s through today.

The musical journey is designed to reflect the vast fabric of the American experience, blending iconic rock anthems, soul, country, folk, and jazz. From classic standard-bearers like Kate Smith and Frank Sinatra to heartland rock legends like Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp.

In addition to the 250 tracks, the weekend-long broadcast will feature a curated series of “History Drops” voiced by familiar local KHMB on-air personalities. These short vignettes will spotlight lesser-known stories of the Revolutionary War, national cultural milestones, and unique historical connections bridging California and the local Coastside to the broader American story.
