PRESS RELEASE. From the Pelagic Group on August 28th, 2025.
At long last, we will be opening Pelagic Grill – on a very soft basis today, August 28th, 2025.
We will be open daily from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We are excited as this will complete David’s dream of having a “World Ocean Fusion” grill and fish market.
Our menu is limited, and will be evolving as we let the restaurant tell us what is working and what needs to be eliminated.
Our grand opening will be sometime in late September.
On a Westendorf family personal note, David has completed three rounds of chemo therapy and has decided to undergo radiation therapy at UC San Diego instead of Stanford. UCSD has a proton therapy process that targets the tumor with minimal exposure to surrounding organs. Stanford will not have their proton therapy machine operational until December, which is too late for David as radiation treatment of his tumor can’t wait.
