ReGrading of Montara Mountain Fire Road to American Tower’s Cell Towers Approved By AAC

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

VIDEO. From the San Mateo County Agricultural Advisory Committee meeting Monday, 11/14/2020.  American Tower owns the land and leases it to Sprint and AT&T. This is a maintenance project to the existing fire road.  Four Fire Truck turnouts will also be graded.

This maintenance occurs every 10 years or so.

The ACC unanimously approved the maintenance after an interesting discussion on who pays for the grading.

Start at 17:25 for this Agenda item.

  1. CALL ME CRAZY BUT IT SEEMS TO ME THE COASTAL TOWNS NEED ANOTHER ROAD ENTIRELY ACROSS THE MOUNTAIN TO THE OTHER SIDE! AS IT STANDS NOW, IN ANY EMERGENCY SUCH AS FIRES, TSUNAMIS, THERE WILL BE THE FEW EXIT ROADS THAT INEVITIBLY WILL BE PACKED BACK TO BACK WITH CARS, PERSONS DOOMED TO DIE FROM LACK OF ESCAPE ROADS..
