Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside (SAM) Staff Recover from Electrical Bus Duct Damage that Shuts Down Plant

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

VIDEO. From the Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside (SAM) Director’s meeting on Monday, May 9th, 2022 at 7:00pm by Zoom.

From the 5/9/22 General Manger’s Report

4/28/22 Power outage in the wee hours (4:00 am), when power was restored (8:30am) the bus duct blew out, scattering sparks for 20′. Got ahold of Peterson right away to get additional standby power onsite, contacted Eaton to get them in as soon as possible, paperwork started to set up temporary emergency power with utility. Setting up 24 hour coverage for the next week at least. Standby by genny was brought in and hooked up, using Peterson’s generator and put ours in the standby position. Note if the generator fails it will need to be switched manually hence the 24 hour coverage.
