OneShoreline Presents “Sea Level Rise, Erosion and Flooding on the San Mateo County Coast”

Thu. October 14th @ 7:00pm – 8:30pm

OneShoreline is partnering with League of Women Voters chapters throughout San Mateo County, for a program of public online forums on climate change risk and resilience. Each forum will focus on a specific region of the Bay shoreline, Pacific Coast, or on wildfires, and includes brief presentations by panelists from the specific region, followed by a Q&A moderated by the League of Women Voters.

All registered will receive a Zoom link for the event to actively participate in the Q&A period. In addition, the forum’s livestream and post-event recording will be accessible on YouTube. Information to register for and access each event will be provided no later than two weeks ahead of each event. Please check back for updates.

Forums are held on Thursdays, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

I see this outreach as an effort to get everyone all gined-up so that down the road in the near future, they can propose another “property tax line-item” to soak everyone who owns a home or property to fund another County endeavor for businesses along the bay in places like Burlingame Brisbane or Menlo Park (who have built dangerously close to the water’s edge) to get “bailed out”, no pun intended, for their choice to build at their location. Please tell me why taxpayers should pay annually because Mark Zuckerberg developed Facebook on the edge of the Bayshore?
