PRESS RELEASE. From Meredith Kasyan, OceanCiders Owner and Operator, on January 10th, 2023.
OceanCiders Beach Cider Bar to open this Spring at Perch Beach, Pillar Point Harbor, Half Moon Bay.
“OceanCiders is a unique adult beverage trailer & seating area that will open in the spring of 2023, right next to HMB Kayak. OceanCiders will offer a wide variety of both hard & non-alcoholic ciders (always gluten-free) on tap and in bottles and cans. While a number of local bars exist in the Harbor area, only OceanCiders will be located right on the waterfront, immediately off the Coastal Trail for a convenient stop when hiking or biking. At OceanCiders, you’ll find a serene place to take a break and hang out on our comfy furniture – simply wrap up in a blanket and enjoy a good book or meet up with friends while enjoying ‘smores around the communal fire pit. And if the wind or rain picks up, we’ll have gazebos for protection.”
The bar will be open 5 days a week. Wednesdays and Fridays from 4pm – 8pm, and Saturdays & Sundays from 12pm – 8pm. (Weather Permitting)
Unique Features
OceanCiders will offer customers a unique atmosphere for entertaining friends and trying new Ciders with tastings from over 40 rotating varieties, soft-pretzels with a cider cheese-dip, pre-packaged snacks on the go, both gluten-free & not, along with ‘smores kits for the fire. We will be providing other cider-based cocktails, warm mulled cider, and cider slushies. We will also be partnering with local eating establishments, such as Ketch Joanne’s, Princeton Seafood, Lama’s, Barbara’s Fish Trap, etc… to encourage our patrons to enjoy their food on our premises while sampling our wide variety of Ciders.
Weekend live music, movie nights on the beach, and other activities will be on deck weather permitting.

Not particularly happy about this. It will block the view from our weekly tailgate where we park at the harbor, use the coastal trail for bike/walk, then order from Ketch Joanne’s, the Taco Truck (Lamas Peruvian) or the OPL, and sit in the camping chairs and watch the beautiful view. Ratz.
I’m sure you will get over it. In fact, why don’t you go buy a cider and welcome a new business instead! You will have an even better view than before.
