“Houston, we have a winner! We’re still smiling from Saturday’s amazing Paws in the Park event at Quarry Park!
Meet our Best in Show winner Maggie and her cosmic humans (Connie Malach and Rich Wilson) – talk about out of this world! Under gorgeous sunny skies, we witnessed skill, verve and adorableness, as 53 fantastic dogs competed across 13 fun-filled categories!

Perfect weather made for the most beautiful day, and we were surrounded by incredible community partners who made it all possible. We’re so grateful to the many amazing local Coastside businesses and non-profits who showed their love for our four-legged friends, and for our El Granada Elementary school!
A huge thank you also goes to the San Mateo County park rangers for allowing us to use this beautiful venue and for helping us along the way.
And special thanks to our wonderful MC (Chamber CEO Krystlyn Giedt) and judges (Jen Randle, Granada Community Services District board, Mishelle Westendorf, co-owner Jettywave Distillery and Marika Holmgren, Home Town Mercantile) who kept the energy high and made the competitions so much fun!
But here’s the best news of all: FOUR rescue dogs found their forever homes with one more adoption pending!
To every family who brought their pup, every volunteer who helped, every business partner who supported us, and every community member who came out – THANK YOU!
We made so many joyful memories and new friendships along the way – this is what happens when a community comes together! Until next year, Paws in the Park! šāØ
