Another Coastside Reading Initiative is the Friends of the Half Moon Bay Library who raise money with their Monthly Sidewalk Book Sales. Proceeds support library programs and services.

Adult Literacy Tutoring Program
The Half Moon Bay Library now has 33 Adult Literacy Pairs.  Volunteer tutors are making a huge difference in our community!

Tutoring adults gives them the opportunity to expand their horizons and achieve lifelong goals such as securing a better job, reading to their children, going to college, passing the citizenship exam, and many more life-changing aspirations!
Background check required.

Age: 18+ 

Commitment: 2 hours a week
