PODCAST. Every Friday Michelle Dragony, the Chief Buzz Officer of Coastside Buzz, sits down with KPDO (& KZSG’s) Catherine Peery to review the Weekly Buzz Mail.

Rep. Eshoo and Supervisor Mueller applaud the California Attorney General Bonta for holding the Seton Coastside owner accountable by suing them because they feel their storm repair construction is not being done in a timely manner and they want our standby emergency room back.

The Half Moon Bay City Council approved a two-year Automated License Plate Reader Pilot Program at 7 Locations in Half Moon Bay. There has already been approval for ALPR cameras on the midcoast. With fewer people wanting to be police officers, technologies such as cameras, drones and AI will transform policing. There was a story just yesterday on KQED where East Palo Alto Police are using AI to help with writing police reports.

The Half Moon Bay City Council responded quickly to an ADA complaint by immediately funding $200k in repairs for the Main Street Bridge. There are three plans so if you have an opinion, have a look at the staff report first on Coastside Buzz and then reach out to the public works department

The San Mateo County Supervisors honored the life of Don Horsley by naming the new Tunitas Creek Beach Park after the former Supervisor and Sheriff.

Coastside CERT graduated the first all Chinese LISTOS class ~ The students were grateful for the inclusion. Some had been involved in the farmworker shootings which made the training even more poignant.

The San Mateo County Supervisors moved into their new building and had their first meeting at 500 County Center. Touted as “The Greenest Civic Building in the Nation” it will last for generations. Lots of natural light and wood and a great story of architectural planning. Have a listen.

The Opportunity Center of the Coastside struts its stuff to the Half Moon Bay City Council to extend the County’s funding for another year for Job Train, Renaissance and Coastside Ventures to continue to help locals get to work or start a business.

Pescadero’s Puente launched a farmworker housing justice storytelling video project which was very compassionate and insightful. Check it out.
