GO FUND ME REQUEST.

Hi my name is Michelle Silva, and I am fundraising on behalf of Tina Miles. Unfortunately, Tina was involved in a major head-on collision on 8/10/22 on highway one near the airport in El Granada/Princeton area.
We are grateful that emergency responders were able to rescue her from the wreckage though Tina has sustained serious injuries. She is currently at Stanford, receiving critical care and has already undergone one surgery and is expected to have more surgeries in the coming week.
Multiple fractures, a rod in one leg and cast on the other leg. A recent update said she is now awake and lucid after surgery. We do not know what her recovery will look like yet but she will need our help.
Tina is a wonderful person with a big heart. She can often be found at the local American Legion Post 474 where she volunteers countless hours supporting her community of fellow veterans and their families.
Please consider donating any amount, big or small, and/or sharing this fundraiser.
Tina is always giving to our community; let’s show her some love now.

3 sent to hospital in suspected DUI crash on Highway 1

From the Half Moon Bay Review Wednesday, August 10th, 2022.

Highway 1 near the Half Moon Bay Airport reopened three hours after a suspected DUI collision closed the road and sent three people to the hospital, authorities said.

The head-on wreck was reported about 4:15 p.m. just south of Moss Beach, where a northbound SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a sedan, the CHP said.

Two men inside the SUV, and a woman in the sedan were taken to Stanford Hospital. The driver of the SUV is suspected of driving under the influence, authorities said.

A Sig-Alert was issued shortly after 5 p.m. by the CHP and both directions were closed. The road reopened about 7:15 p.m.

  1. Thank you for sharing Michelle! My name is Michelle Velarde, I created the GoFundMe and Michele Silva is actually my friend and co-worker. All good though, she probably won’t mind that her (last) name is associated 🙂 Thank you much for sharing this with your followers, Tina is really a wonderful person. I love how the coastside is pulling together for her!
