DIY Ride
Complete the Tunitas climb on your own between July 4 and 20. Start just past The Bike Hut porta potty and set out for Skyline, ending as you pass the last big Redwood on the left side of the road, just before the turnout by Rte. 35. We’ll mark the start and finish lines on the road. Complete the ride as many times as you want and submit your best time!
Parking
There is limited parking on the farm behind The Bike Hut by appointment only. Send an email to thebikehut@potreronuevofarm.org to reserve access. Other options include: making it part of your usual Tunitas loop; parking at the top of Tunitas and warming up as you descend the road, then starting your ride back up to your car; or parking at the San Gregorio General Store (corner of Hwy. 84 & Stage Rd.) and biking over from there.
Safety Rules
Note, there are no road closures for this ride. Helmets are required and please, no earbuds. Please be courteous and attentive to other cyclists and vehicles. Tunitas is known for blind narrow curves, so always stay alert. **DAYTIME FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Ride for time if you’re into it, but above all, stay safe and have fun out there.
E-Bikes
E-bikes are welcome and encouraged! However, they will not be counted in the leaderboard.
