Half Moon Bay, California 94019
Coastside Fishing Club announces it’s 2026 Salmon Smolt delivery schedule.
Our 15th. year of acclimating baby, fall run, Chinook salmon, from the Mokelumne River hatchery, will begin with the 1st. delivery on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, at approximately 9:00am.
Three tank truck loads of approximately 90,000 fish will make their way to the end of Johnson Pier, at Pillar Point Harbor, Half Moon Bay, Ca.
Each truck will take 20-30 minutes to cycle to the end of pier and release fish.
Two more (3 truck) deliveries are scheduled to arrive on Saturday, May 30th and again on Saturday, June 6th.
This season’s acclimation program, with it’s 824,000 fish will put our program over the 10 million mark in 15 years of supporting CDFW hatcheries.
It’s purpose is to move fish past low water/high temp rivers where baby salmon have to survive water conditions as well as predation by birds and other predatory fish species.
Our program supports the other release strategies to get fish to the ocean and be caught by both commercial and recreational fishers.
