VIDEO. Cabrillo Unified School District’s (CUSD) Superintendent, Sean McPhetridge, summarizes the current state of their crisis budget negotiations. CUSD still needs to cut $2.6 million. The teacher’s union got a zero raise contract, so far, and are very disappointed. They want a fair contract now.
The $2.6 cuts need to be identified, the State funds need to set and then the CUSD board and staff will have more information with which to budget more for teacher’s salaries as was promised in the Measure I parcel tax.
Education needs more money allocated by the State.
