STUDY. From the San Mateo County Planning and Building Department’s Seal Cove Critical Geotechnical Hazards Area webpage, on December 15th, 2025.

The Seal Cove Geologic Study is now available for public review.  A community meeting to discuss the report will be held in January, the date of which will be announced soon.

The study is an independent geotechnical study has been completed by Cotton, Shires and Associates, a firm specializing in geological hazards. The report provides a technical basis for understanding current conditions and exploring potential responses.
