“Informational briefing to solicit public feedback on the Draft Guidance on Processing Local Coastal Program Amendments for Accessory Dwelling Units in the Coastal Zone , which is available for public review and comment. Senate Bill 1077 (Chapter 454, Statutes of 2024) directs the California Coastal Commission, in coordination with the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), to prepare guidance for local governments to facilitate the preparation of local coastal program (LCP) amendments that clarify and simplify the permitting process for accessory dwelling units in the coastal zone by July 1, 2026. Discussion item only.”
