VIDEO. From the Compassion in Action 2025 International Spotlight. Presentation by Pescadero resident and past member of the Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council (PMAC), Dr. Patrick Horn.
Discover how a rural farm town advanced housing, infrastructure, and dignity for labor through sustained collaboration and advocacy. This session offers a compelling case study in community transformation. Dr. Patrick Horn reveals how local efforts to create meaningful change and strengthen resilience emerged from long-term visioning and mobilizing faith, civic, and grassroots sectors. Attendees will gain insight into centering marginalized voices and prioritizing compassion through crisis and renewal through applying the “Discover-Commit-Build-Evaluate” model for inclusion, policy change, and justice in their own contexts.
Dr. Patrick Horn is a spiritual leader, educator, and member of the Coastside Chapter of Faith in Action Bay Area, Peninsula Solidarity Cohort, and the United Religions Initiative. He is also a member of Leadership Council San Mateo County and served on the Pescadero Municipal Advisory Council.
