A Milestone Achieved: Together Toward Housing Justice

We are incredibly grateful for the support from our donors, partners, sponsors, and community members who made our Planting Prosperity fundraiser dinner a success! It was a joy to connect with you and share our vision for the upcoming housing project. Through ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations not only did we meet, but we surpassed our goal of $300,000, raising an astounding $440,000!

While this is an amazing milestone, the total cost of the renovations is near $1,300,000. With your continued support, we are confident we will reach that goal and provide affordable, safe, and dignified housing for farmworkers and their families. Thank you for being a part of this important journey toward housing justice!

About Us

Puente de la Costa Sur, through its affiliate Puente Housing Solutions (PHS), LLC., works toward housing solutions for unincorporated South Coast communities in San Mateo County, California. PHS’ first project is to preserve farmworker housing in Pescadero, CA through the acquisition of the former Pescadero Union High School, built in 1925, which was converted to farmworker housing in the 1980s. Puente is committed to making the necessary improvements for safe and dignified living while keeping these units affordable for community members for years to come. The building currently contains family living units with ensuite kitchenettes and bathrooms, as well as single units that share a communal kitchen and two bathrooms (one each for women and men).
