Big Vacation House in Planning in Miramar ~ Size? Drainage? 2nd Home?

VIDEO / PHOTOS. Planning Commission (Tues. 7pm, 4/9/19) and public comment (Miramar neighbors) asked about drainage for the Pullman Waterway (aka Ditch). The concern was that with more roof coverage, creating more non-permeable surface, this project will demand the need for more drainage control along the ditch. More complicated, is that the ability to mitigate, is not on the 2800 Champs Ellysee property. The owner of the mitigating property gave up on developing due to so much water flow which would require expensive creek restoration.

Brian Holt, Chair, asked how many days a year would the owners be using the house. He was concerned that with the Coastside housing shortage, this house won’t house a Coastsider.

Then there is the shape. Its is big and long horizonatally, with no visual breaks. Second story would reduce footprint, but increase visual access in to neighbors’ yards and homes.
