Thomas at age 13 in a photo booth at Madam Tussauds Wax Museum in London, 1964.

Originating from correspondence with an incarcerated friend, Thomas’s memoir, titled I Wore The Wrong Shirt To Work Today, is what Thomas calls the “random memories of a misfit.”

Today’s podcast details a friend/landlord of Thomas who was known for his white Stetson hat and love of white wine by the gallon, and the more serious topic of the feelings of sadness and anger that engulfed Thomas for many years. He also details an incident of “smuggling backwards” into Mexico and a childhood friend from Fresno he never got to say goodbye to, who he still wonders about to this day.
