AB 953 requires demographic information on all police stops and is called the Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) of 2015.
City of Half Moon Bay is asking San Mateo County Sheriffs to break out Half Moon Bay RIPA data from the whole County.
San Mateo County will start reporting Countywide data January 2023.
The San Mateo County Grand Jury came out with a report in on July 27th, 2021:
