PHOTO ESSAY. Due to high winds the contractor will wait until Tuesday, April 24th, 2023, to install. After installation, final connections may take a couple more weeks before opening.

“I live right at job-site and bridge is still parked in roadway….all roped off with no workmen around. Was supposed to be installed today (Tuesday) with MONSTER crane arriving at 7am to do the job but it would seem that at last minute they called a halt. Something about 92 was still in a fragile state from all recent temporary repair work and….hauling that monstrosity over 92 was NOT gonna happen so….seems today they’re back at the drawing board considering other routes. 2 halves of bridge were trailered in thro Salinas then over to Hwy 1 and on up to here. Whatever route…they’re gonna need permits.”
