Update on the Smith Field Improvements Project

RECOMMENDATION Receive an update on the Smith Field Park Facilities Master Plan and Park Improvement Project. Provide initial feedback on the conceptual design of the planned park enhancements as relevant to Local Coastal Land Use Plan (LCLUP) policy and Parks Master Plan. Smith Field Park is located at 201 and 203 Wavecrest Road. This item is meant to provide an update and no action will be taken to approve or deny the project at this meeting.

BACKGROUND The Parks Master Plan adopted by the City Council on February 5, 2019 identified Smith Field Park as the sole community park within Half Moon Bay’s jurisdiction. The Parks Master Plan specifically stated that Smith Field Park has the “opportunity to more effectively use the space and expand uses to serve the community better.”
