Marin Holt is a teacher and community catalyst from Half Moon Bay who’s built a regional network focused on getting donated bikes into the hands of farmworkers, the unhoused and others in need, and on advocating for street and trail access and safety.
She is being honored as part of Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition’s annual Bike to Wherever Days celebrations.

Our Mission Statement:
Coastside on Bikes is a group of bike enthusiasts who support bike access for all Coastside community members. From pavement to parks, we are dedicated to preserving and expanding bike access and connectivity on the Coastside. We engage in education, advocacy, and coalition-building with other local groups in order to urge agencies at the city and county levels to provide better trails and safer routes to work and school.

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501c3 organization. Coastside Mountain Bikers was started in 2016 and focused solely on issues surrounding mountain biking access and advocacy on the Coastside. In 2020, Coastside on Bikes was started and the two organizations began working together closely on various projects in the community. In January 2023, the two groups merged under the name “Coastside on Bikes” and updated our mission to function as a regional bike advocacy organization in addition to continuing our existing work in the community.
