San Mateo County Public Health Has Not Been Counting Midcoast Vaccine Data Correctly

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

VIDEO. From the Midcoast Community Council (MCC) meeting Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 7:00pm by zoom.

Committee Chair, Michelle Weil, and Committee Member, Claire Toutant, met with San Mateo County Public Health to figure out how to get better vaccine data for the midcoast vaccine shots.

Current County Count

  • El Granada 60%
  • Moss Beach 50%
  • Montara 97%
  • Half Moon Bay 91%
  • San Mateo County 93%

At their first meeting it looks like Seal Cove and Pillar Ridge Manufactured Home Park vaccine results went to unincorporated county, rather than to Moss Beach.

Also, Princeton and El Granada vaccine data was applied to Half Moon Bay due to the fact all three have a 94019 zip code. Confusing.

Michelle and Claire will be meeting again with San Mateo County Public Health until they get the numbers right. They also asked for equity outreach.

This is the video that inspired Michelle Weil to look deeper into San Mateo County Public Health’s vaccine data.
