Pacific Fishery Management Council Announces Commercial and Recreational Salmon Season Closed Until May 15th, 2025; Pillar Point Harbor Fishing Fleet Struggles

PRESS RELEASE. From California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC).

The National Marine Fisheries Service took in season action to close recreational and commercial ocean salmon fishing that was scheduled to be open at this time at the Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC) Meeting March 10.

A decision about ocean salmon fisheries on or after May 16th
will be made at the PFMC meeting on April 15th, 2025.
