VIDEO. From the Montara Water and Sewer District (MWSD) Director’s meeting on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at 7:30pm by Zoom.
Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside’s (SAM) Director’s Chair, Scott Boyd, gives General Manager, Kishen Prathivadi, time to comment.
What is LHMP? Local Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Every 5 years public agencies and special districts, like MWSD, have to update their LHMP’s in order to be able to apply for grants that mitigate local hazards that need to be mitigated.
In this case, the SAM electrical needs to be moved ASAP out of the storm water inundation zone. Note: All sewers are design to end at the lowest spot for gravity flow of sewage (hopefully only poop, pee and paper). With climate change this mitigation will happen more and more, nationwide.
MWSD thinking ahead.
