Kate Shea noticed the Hwy 35 sign was laying on the ground, a couple years ago.

In January, she mentioned it and I directed her to Midcoast Community Council (MCC) Len Erickson. Len email a CalTrans pulled a ticket on the CalTran website.

Len went to the webpage below to request repair on January 11th, 2021.

“The sign shown in the attached picture is on the south side of SR92, about ¼ mile west of the SR92/SR35 intersection.

Without this sign people looking to use the intersection get no warning it is present until they are virtually at the intersection due to hill incline and road curvature.”

On January 24th, 2021 the old, broken sign was removed by CalTrans. Progress.

By Friday April 2nd, 2021, the Hwy 35 was returned to its former vertical position.

Thanks to Kate and Len.
