Light up the Moon

Let’s light up Half Moon Bay with holiday cheer! The City of Half Moon Bay, in partnership with the Downtown Association and Chamber of Commerce, is holding a decorating contest complete with prizes for participating residents and businesses.

Help us Light up the Moon by decorating your home or business, and you could win prizes in one of the three following categories:

  • Business – any business in the City of Half Moon Bay is encouraged to participate
    • 1st place – $300, 2nd place – $200, 3rd place $100
  • Residential – all residences in Half Moon Bay are encouraged to participate
    • 1st place – $200, 2nd place – $100, 3rd place $50
  • People who vote on the best business/residence! – raffle prizes from local businesses will be provided at random to participating voters.

 

The top vote-getters in the Business and Residential categories can get cash prizes; and the Voters  can win raffle prizes from local businesses. How to participate:

  • Submit a photo of your decorated residence/business to [email protected] by December 17.
  • Voters will be able to vote on residences/businesses at (Link to be inserted).
  • Voters will be entered into a raffle and winners will be chosen at the January 19 City Council Meeting.
  • View our map of decorated residences/businesses and take a tour of holiday cheer with your loved ones!

The meeting will be held at the Adcock Community Center for any members of the public who wish to speak in person, though we do encourage all members to participate remotely.
