The Salmon Boat Rescue Video

Salmon Boat Rescue at Dunes Beach in Half Moon Bay, Sunday 7.9.2017. Thanks to California State Lifeguard, Jeff Wadkins, for the narration of the rescue video. See lifeguards Coel Miller and Grayson Capers on their first boat rescue where they successfully rescue 2 salmon fishermen, whose engine just stopped working. Thanks to Harbor Patrol for the assist.
California State Life Guards’ Junior Lifeguards (website link)
If you think what the California State Lifeguards do is pretty compelling, support them with donations. These HMB kids compete with decades of Santa Cruz Guard culture. These Half Moon Bay kids could always use new race boards to keep them competitive. Any donation would be appreciated.
Maybe you also sign up your kids? The young men who rescued the boat saved two lives and a fishing vessel worth 10’s of 1,000s of dollars. They took 10 years to train. The Junior Guards program gives every guard knowledge of the ocean, their bodies and their minds.
The Half Moon Bay Lifeguard Crew
Jeff loves his crew. He wants to make sure everyone gets some credit. Everyone in the Half Moon Bay crew is trained to successfully rescue boats from beaches, and people from the water. I think you might be surprised how many local men and women are protecting our beaches. When you see them, be sure to say Hi! and Thanks!
