Harbor District Works with Owner and USCG to Remove the Unregistered, Non-Operable Beached Vanadis Sailboat

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

PRESS RELEASE. From the San Mateo County Harbor District, Pillar Point Harbor District’s General Manager, Jim Pruett on January 31st, 2022.

The Harbor District is working with the owner of the vessel to safely remove the vessel from the beach.

The vessel is too far up the beach for the assets in Pillar Point to remove it, and a professional company will be needed to remove the vessel while protecting the environment.

The Harbor District does ask the public to stay clear of the vessel as it is not safe to enter or be on the vessel at this time due to its condition and position on the beach.
