Get the Election Results for the 2025 Sheriff Corpus Measure A Special Election

PRESS RELEASE. From the San Mateo County Office of Mark Church; Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder & Chief Elections Officer.

Election Night Release Schedule
The first results report will be at 8:10 pm, Tuesday, March 4th, 2025.
Results will include:
– Vote by Mail ballots received in the mail by the Monday before Election Day.
– Vote by Mail ballots returned at the Vote Center and Drop Boxes by the Monday before Election Day.

Vote Center ballots results will be announced every hour from 9:00pm, until complete.

The post-election day results will be released before 4:30pm on the following dates:

  • Thursday, March 6th
  • Monday, March 10th
  • Wednesday, March 12th
  • Friday, March 14th
  • Additional updates will be scheduled as needed.

Results of the election will be certified on April 3rd, 2025.

This page offers a variety of ways to view and tailor election results with the following exciting features: ​

  • Click Results tab to view all results – results are available in list, slideshow (auto-scroll) or detail table format.
  • On Results tab, click on Detail Table icon to see the breakdown of votes cast at Vote Centers and by mail.
  • On Results tab, click Filter Results button to select certain contests to follow. Note: If you close browser, the filter selection is not retained.
  • On Results tab, print the results by clicking the Print icon.
  • Click Voter Turnout tab to see turnout for each precinct. To display the turnout, zoom in and hover over a precinct.
  • Click Reports tab to download contest or precinct reports in comma-separated value (CSV) or PDF. Note: Reports are not available on mobile devices at this time.
  • Set auto-refresh in the header for results to refresh when updated.

The number of registered voters in the election is 444,497 as of February 21, 2025. Voter registration numbers may not reflect all voters who can cast a ballot in a precinct due to conditional voter registration. Conditional voter registration allows voters to register and cast a provisional ballot after the close of registration deadline.
