From Deb Harter-Williams.
Gopi Mattel, of El Granada, and General Partner of venture fund Lifeboat.Ventures, put the ADU.Works team together with Half Moon Bay resident, Conrad Kimball, who is CEO and co-founder of ADU.Works. They recently celebrated the opening of their Hayward showroom.
A third founder Luzcenit Aguio has been a key part of the design team. She has used her engineering background and real-world experience to create a high-quality set of units. She could not be at the event for personal reasons.
Folks came from as far away as Vallejo, Fresno and San Jose to learn about the Mavericks series of Accessory Dwelling Units.
From the M309 to the 504 and 748, the ADUs offer a range of sizes and styles.
Customers can choose from floor and roofing options and can choose an exterior to match their existing house.

From Gopi Matel.
As a 20-year resident of the Coastside I am very excited to see the success of this Half Moon Bay company. While volunteering as part of the Coastside Recovery Initiative, I have been wanting to create more possibilities on the Coastside for good quality work and to make the residents more resilient to shocks like the pandemic.
All of us know how difficult housing is everywhere in California. This company is going to create high-quality in-law units at very affordable prices to increase housing stock without occupying more land. It will allow retired folks to create an income source from their existing assets and make them resilient to problems. Single parent families who are struggling with jobs can add another income stream to their life. It will also allow our young people to afford rents where they were born.
I am truly happy that Conrad, Ace and Luz are creating a good change in the world.
The founders would love to host Coastsiders for special tours of the units. Book here https://www.adu.works/free-consultation/ and just say Gopi sent you from the Coastside.

The popularity of accessory dwelling units, or ADUs, had been booming in California; and for good reason. These small homes are an affordable option for homeowners who need more living space, and they can be used to generate rental income. With the rising cost of housing in the state, there’s been a big movement to build more low-cost ADUs. One of the industry pioneers in constructing these affordable ADUs without compromising build quality is ADU.Works. With the use of structural insulated panels, helical pile foundations, and engineered plan sets, the Bay Area builder is able to provide homeowners with ADU products that can be built in almost half the time and cost of a traditional ADU Builder.
“We wanted to create a better experience for people looking to build ADU’s after building one ourselves. A quick look around, however, revealed that ADUs remained prohibitively expensive or otherwise unappealing. They took an awful lot of time to construct and both the customer service and the process were poor. We knew things could be so much better – that’s why we created ADU.Works”
– Conrad Kimball, Chief Executive Officer.
