Nature Walk in Quarry Park – Sunday April 13, from 10:00-11:30AM.
Enjoy a Nature walk in Quarry Park, with a look at wildflowers, birds, and history.
We will start at the playground with a look at a hidden bit of history, walk up to the quarry bowl with a little geology, and point out the varied and interesting plants that occur in the park.
You’ll see the unexpected Chinese Dawn Redwood, native wildflowers like Sticky Monkeyflower, and the many nonnative plants and trees that have taken up residence there.
It will last about 90 minutes and will be a relatively easy walk.
