VIDEO / PHOTO. Call me Mirounga! Northern elephant seal bull daddios fighting for a harem.
A one minute edit of the mighty northern elephant seal. During their annual winter haul out at Año Nuevo, males, females and pups are together for a few months of no food or water but plenty of action. These elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris) were almost lost to extinction, but this species rebounded from the gene pool of a small group found at Guadalupe Island in the early 20th century.
