These young adults have taught us that education matters.
The need for diverse training and education after high school has grown even more in our community as we cope with a changing economy, the pandemic, and rising housing costs.
There’s a decades-long list of Coastside students who have had their futures brightened by Odd Fellows educational programs and we continue adding to the list.
We focus on individuals with the fewest options. We seek out the underserved. We help those wanting to be nurses, builders, musicians, technicians. Many of our recipients are the first in their family to attend college or trade school.
But don’t just take our word for it. Hear it first hand from Michel.
“You believed in me when I doubted in myself. You reminded me that I am capable. You are showing me dreams can come true. Above all you have recharged my will to continue forward, even when hope seems scarce. I want to thank you sincerely and wholeheartedly for investing in my future. Thank you for helping me restore the faith in myself and for asking for no other than my success in return.”

Half Moon Bay High School Class of 2020
Your dollars go a long way and help right here on the Coast.
- In the Industrial Arts program at Half Moon Bay High School, we pay material costs for students who can’t afford the fees.
- We award scholarship money to graduating Half Moon Bay High School Seniors in need.
- We support programs at Pilarcitos Continuation School and provide scholarships to Pilarcitos graduates.
- We provide funds for Coastside youth at Puente de la Costa Sur in Pescadero, and award scholarships to graduating seniors at Pescadero High School.
We have a generous matching grant.
A good friend of the Odd Fellows has donated $5,000 to our Youth Services Program, but wants us to match the gift with additional donations before releasing the funds.
Our goal is in sight, but we need your help. Actually, there is so much need out there, we would love to blow past our goal and be able to award even more support to the deserving applicants we’ve had to turn away.
Youth Services begins with you. Think local for a portion of your year-end giving.
100% of your contribution to our Youth Services Program will go to underserved Coastside students. The HMB-ODD Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and you will receive documentation that your year-end gift is tax-deductible.
