HMB City Council Listens to the Public Discuss Pot on the Coast

Commercial Marijuana Growers? Love them or Hate them? A major change in our state and community is happening.

Tuesday, September 5th at 7:00pm at Ted Adcock is the next City Council meeting.

City Council wants to hear from you.  If you have an opinion, if you would like to learn this will be the place to be. Watch the 1 hour of video (3D on the agenda; 3 hours, 22 min.). Every speaker was concerned enough to stay until 11:00pm to say their piece. Here are some of the speakers: John Ullom, Roy Salume, Ouroboros Farm, Eric Hollister, Bill Graham, David Schorr and more.

Coastsiders can learn more on September 5th, because we need to stay on top of this issue.

Commercial Marijuana Issues

If big commercial pot growers come into our community without good control, we may be hurt economically and culturally. As a result, coastsiders need to understand all the angles of this issue. Almost everyone will be affected one way or another.

  • “Full Value Chain” economy ~ grow, distribute, retail dispensaries?
  • even higher rents?
  • dabs and chemical marijuana?
  • shell corporations and foreign money?
  • use of local agricultural workers?
  • use of green houses?
  • outdoor residential grows?
  • will the City make any money?
  • how will it affect coastal kids?

So many moving parts for this issue. Get up to speed and make sure your voice is heard.

The City Council is trying hard to figure out how to manage this issue.
