In this episode, Harry The “Y” interviews Michael Ahern. Michael is an accomplished musician who also serves as a school board member and has been living in the area for 15 years. He discusses how he got his start in music and passion for Southern rock with a neighborhood family and their collection of guitars. His compilation album, “Drive,” mixes a number of genres: modern country, swamp rock, Chicago blues, and a couple of Americana songs. Take a listen on mjamusic.com

Michael’s experience in music led to his invention, the StompLight. This performance lighting pedal with high quality LED that only takes 30 seconds to set up can be seen at http://stomplight-international-llc.myshopify.com Anyone from professional stage musicians to street musicians and buskers can use it. Michael will also take the StompLight on the road at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show this summer.
