PRESS RELEASE. From Coastside Hope.
The Board of Directors of Coastside Hope gratefully acknowledge Judy O’Leary’s more than 25 years of service to our Board. She has been a vital part in shepherding Coastside Hope through its evolution from a small local non-profit to a vibrant agency now serving more than 4000 Coastsiders annually. Coastside Hope built a safety net of essential social services and immigration support to the Coastside Community through Judy’s boundless energy and love.
Many people also know Judy as a co-founder and teacher at Los Ninos Preschool in addition to her role at Coastside Hope . She truly embodies the spirit of “neighbors helping neighbors”.
While Judy has decided to retire from the Board, we are delighted she will continue her long running leadership for the annual Adopt-A-Family program. Last year, more than 200 Adopt A Family volunteers provided holiday gifts to over 200 families and 100 seniors!
To honor Judy’s legacy, Coastside Hope has established the “Judy and Denis O’Leary Scholarship” to be given to Coastside high school graduates each year.
