VIDEO. From the Coastside Fire Protection District (CFPD) Directors meeting on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at 4:00pm, as a hybrid meeting.
North Peak Access Road Tour included Coastside Fire Protection District’s Fire Marshalls, San Mateo County Parks, Planning, County Executive’s Office, and the County’s Radio Shop to inspect access road leading to County and Coastside Critical Radio Communication Infrastructure. Road is currently impassable for CFPD engines.
San Mateo County Planning Approves Montara Mountain American Tower AT&T and Sprint Use Permits but Continue Grading Permit for Further Analysis of Biological Resources, Alternative Routes and CAL FIRE Access Needs;
San Mateo County Planning Commission Agendizes American Towers Montara Mountain Road Repair (3.5 Miles) and to Legalize a Non-permitted AT&T Wireless Facility; Appealable to Coastal Commission;
Public Asks for Montara Mountain Access Plan from San Mateo County, GGNRA and Other Agencies after Emergency Grading and Work Truck Driver Issues;

The Coastside Fire Protection District, located in the San Mateo County coastal area of California, serves the City of Half Moon Bay, the unincorporated areas of Half Moon Bay and the unincorporated communities of Miramar, El Granada, Princeton-by-the-Sea, Moss Beach, and Montara.
The mission of the Coastside Fire Protection District is to protect the lives, environment, and property of the community through fire suppression, fire prevention, emergency medical services, rescue services, public education and other related services.
