VIDEO. From the San Mateo County Independent Civilian Advisory Commission on the Sheriff’s Office Special Meeting on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at 6:30pm, in person visiting the Regional Operations Center located at 501 Winslow St., Redwood City and as hybrid meeting. (Regular meetings held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the Month at 6:30 – 8:30 pm).

Agenda: Discussion whether/how Commission will respond to Judge Cordell’s report, including recommendation to the Board of Supervisors. Read Judge Cordell’s 400 page independent investigator’s report concluding the sheriff fostered a culture of retaliation, maintains an inappropriate personal relationship with her executive director of administration and used racial and homophobic slurs.

There are currently nine (9) commissioners appointed, consisting of seven (7) Members and two (2) Alternates on the Independent Civilian Advisory Commission on the Sheriff’s Office Roster.
