This summer, join us for a 3-day skateboarding camp designed to teach fundamental skills, etiquette, and safety in a fun and supportive environment. Our camp emphasizes the importance of safety, respect, and enjoying the thrill of skateboarding outdoors!

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to Fall: Mastering safe techniques to prevent injuries.
  • Stance: Finding your balance and perfecting your form.
  • Pushing: Building momentum and gaining confidence on your board.
  • Turning: Navigating corners and controlling your direction.
  • Stopping: Essential methods for coming to a safe stop.

Build-a-Board Workshop: 2-Hour Session

Discover the art of skateboarding in our hands-on Build-a-Board Workshop, inspired by Michael Kershenar—artist for Element, Volcom, The Beastie Boys, and The Grateful Dead. We provide everything kids need to unleash their artistic talents and build their very own skateboard.

What You’ll Do:

  • Customize Your Deck: Paint and personalize your skateboard to showcase your unique style.
  • Build Your Board: Learn to assemble your skateboard, from gripping the deck to setting up trucks, bearings, and wheels (complete kit option).
  • Skateboarding Insights: Get tips on starting your skateboarding journey and riding your custom creation.

Experience personalized skateboarding instruction tailored just for you. Whether you’re new to skating and eager to learn the basics or a seasoned skater looking to master specific tricks, our one-on-one lessons cater to your needs.

  • Individual Session: $65 per hour
  • Group Session (2 or more skaters): $45 per skater, per hour

About Us

I’m Tristan Keller, a Coastside native and San Diego State University graduate. With experience in marketing at a San Diego skatepark and teaching English in Peru, I’m now dedicated to starting a youth skateboarding program in our community.

Parks and Recreation Commission Agendas

 

Comprised of five individuals representing the community, appointed by the City Council.

The Commission advises the Council on various policy issues and other matters related to the City’s parks and recreation programs and facilities.

Commissioners serve four-year terms. Commission meetings are held every 4th Wednesday of each month 6 pm at the Half Moon Bay Library 620 Correas St..  You may reach the Commissioners by emailing the City Clerk at [email protected].
