Brian’s Bio

Brian Withycombe is a long-time Bay Area award winning songwriter, arranger, composer, producer, and multi- keyboardist with over 20 albums and 213 recordings selling worldwide on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify.

His original music can be heard on over 150 different Satellite Radio Stations and has been featured in films, on videos, and on TV.

Brian was also a member of a number of popular Bay Area bands over the years: The Blue Meanies, 911, Gino and the Hawks, Stark Neked, Section 6, Savory, and has played or shared the stage with music legions John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Bon Jovi, Cheap Trick, Jeff Lorber, Maynard Ferguson, Doobie Brothers, Joan Baez, Helen Reddy, Robin Ford, Blood Sweat Tears… just to name a few.

Brian has played or been in bands with touring members of Tower of Power, Santana, Chicago, Steely Dan, Cold Blood, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Pablo Cruise, Huey Lewis the News, Elvin Bishop, Eddie Money, Mr. Big, Journey, Jefferson Starship, Boz Scaggs, Commander Cody, and Sheila E.

 Brian’s long studio recording career spans 4 decades with over 6,200 recordings. He has 10 original orchestral compositions published and wrote the theme and will be scoring the music for an upcoming movie titled ” The Ghosts of Alcatraz “.  He has produced the music for a broadway play in production ” Garage Sale Mania ” , and wrote the theme and music for the movie “The Butlers In Love” starring David Arquette, Elizabeth Berkley, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and Thomas Jane.
