What are Coastal Rotarian focusing on this year? Literacy!

For years  the Half Moon Bay Rotary has given a dictionary to every 3rd grader in the Cabrillo Unified School District (CUSD).

This year they are focusing on Little Libraries for Children. The HMB Rotary is working with The Big Lift literacy program via CUSD and the San Mateo County Library who will provide the books. Money was also donated by the San Mateo Credit Union. The City of Half Moon Bay also contributed input.

Two Little Libraries for Children are in the Pillar Ridge Community, behind the airport, and Moonridge, south of HMB.

More are planned for Oak Park and Frenchman’s Creek Park.
