Sheriff’s OES just released the long-anticipated De-Energization Annex Plan

From Coastside OES Representative, Brian Molver

Sheriff’s OES Report to CEAP (the Chambers Coastside Emergency Action Program) August 7, 2020

Sheriff’s OES just released the long-anticipated De-Energization Annex Plan (aka the Public Safety Power Shutoff Plan).

This plan is a culmination of the County’s response to the October 2019 PG&E Public
Safety Power Shut-off events; post-event debriefs with County Departments, cities and other stakeholders; a departmental working group and the most up-to-date information shared with us from PG&E.

While the Plan is complete in its existing form, we are aware that PG&E is working on its own Policies and Procedures Manual that is to be finalized in the next couple of months.

Rather than wait for PG&E’s final, we wanted to provide the Plan to cities and partners now to assist in their own planning efforts.
