In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the City of Half Moon Bay is proud to present our Earth Year campaign! Our campaign will feature monthly themes, challenges, events, and online resources that can help you build up your sustainability toolbox throughout the year. Join us in celebrating Earth Day every day and show us how you’re honoring our Earth by sharing your pictures and tagging us on social media with #EarthYearHMB!

This month, we’re building off of June’s theme of Food Waste and going Zero Waste!

You can participate in Plastic Free July in whichever way works best for your lifestyle, whether you pledge to not use or buy any single-use plastics all month or you choose to practice for one week. Simply taking stock and observing the amount of waste you create is a great way to get started too!

Pledging to go plastic free doesn’t have to mean drastic changes to your lifestyle. Plastic Free July can be accessible for all.
