Want to Sample Water for Surfrider’s Blue Water Task Force (BWTF)?

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

INVITATION.

Three sites are currently being tested every week: San Pedro Creek (Linda Mar), San Vicente Creek (Fitzgerald Marine Reserve), and the Capistrano Outflow (north side of Barbara’s Fish Trap, across from Half Moon Bay Brewing Co.). We hope to add more locations as we gain more trained volunteers for the program.

Our team typically collects samples every Thursdays or Fridays. Someone then returns to the lab, located by Mavericks, to read the results 24 hours later on a Friday or Saturday. The goal is the have the results ready for publishing at the start of the weekend.

If you are interested in collecting samples, learning the process, and reading results with the BWTF, please see the calendar below and coordinate with the sampler listed or any one of the program leaders listed.
