ARTICLE / PHOTOS. The concept is called Intentional Creativity – using a creative process for personal transformation.

It’s nothing like paint and sip, but it does involve gathering in groups and painting.

big canvas group.jpeg Two longtime Coastside healers – Jane Celeste Sanguinetti, of Joy of Being in Moss Beach, and Dr. Neesa Ginger Mills – have stepped beyond ordinary healing methods to bring others through guided inner journeys and a step-by-step painting process they find leads to deep inner change in their students.

Over the last year, they have been growing a robust community of Bay Area women who are absolutely loving these workshop experiences.

“Creativity is who we are as human beings. When we express ourselves, we feel good. When we create with healing intention, we free ourselves,” Neesa said. “When we shift internally, we heal those around us and radiate healing to a world deeply in need of love.”

The captivating method of Intentional Creativity, is a powerful guided process that illuminates what’s on the inside of us to bring it into an art form, which allows the expression of an often hidden voice on the inside – the voice that defines us, the voice that may have been silenced by traumatic events, the voice that was scared, the voice that may have been too shy to speak.

These two teachers share this work in Coastside workshops, calling these classes Art as Medicine, because people find their own inner medicine from tapping into these guided spaces inside themselves. Each workshop has some kind of a universal them such as “Making Peace with Your Body” or “Sparking Your Creative Fire.”

These methods make healing fun and deeply nourishing, especially with the added element of painting together in a community of others on the same path.

“Exploring painting in the sacred container of a group helps us better understand who we are, what’s truly important to us and the common threads that bind us collectively through time and space, Neesa says on her website. “We peel back layers of that which binds us, bring forth visions and prayers for healing and place them into a physical art form that emerges as incredible beauty.”

“This transition from formless to form easily transforms energy and allows us to return home to ourselves. With the IC process, you will be guided through self-inquiry and self-expression, ultimately heralding the joy that comes with authentic creative flow.”

The next workshops will be a two-day intensive Aug. 17-18 in San Gregorio, then an afternoon introductory day Sept 7 at Moon Mothers Nursery in Princeton Harbor. You can learn more about how you can get participate. $395.   >> CLICK HERE
